Great Food, Great Staff
Pros: Great food, great service
Cons: none
"I took my teenager to dinner here. She was thrilled to read about the history & ghost stories. Our waiter provided excellent service and thrilled my daughter with stories of his own experiences. The plates were huge and the food was delicious. "

We have discovered a new favorite
Pros: Wonderful food at a good price
Cons: None
"We recently dined there twice in a week. The first time was to try their lobster bisque which we all agreed is probably the best on the Cape. Many large pieces of lobster in a divine bisque. The second time we were there for a full dinner, and were all delighted with the three course price fix for $25. Everyone's entire dinner was fabulous. This is a new favorite place. Also you can't beat the Sunday brunch."

super brunch buffet
Pros: warm and friendly, beautiful dining room, super brunch
"we have only been to the inn on sundays for the breakfast buffet, which is always excellent. Each time we go there is something different. We live here yr round with a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old who are always welcomed which is a very nice feeling, being able to go to a family friendly place without sacraficing the ambiance and upscale feeling. we look forward to trying the restaraunt other than the brunch."

One of our favorite places
Pros: Great waitstaff, great food
Cons: none
"The wine is served in very large glasses, not skimpy little glasses. The food has always been excellent. My favorite is the beef tips with gorganzola. YUM. We like the pizzas, too. The burgers are delicious, the fish is delicious. I have seen many plates of short ribs go by that look delicious, too! The waitstaff are the best waitstaff of any place I have ever eaten. We are locals who like to eat at the better places around....we do not know the owners or employees so we can't say we are writing a biased review. We just like good food and nice people."

Love it here and I'm a year round resident
Pros: Atmosphere of Old Tavern but with an elegant dining area
Cons: None
"Take advantage of cape cod restauraunt week and try their best of the best at an affordable price. The scallps in bacon were perfectly cooked and seafood cocktail is fantastic. The rack of lamb is the best I've had on the cape and veal is always done just right no matter the dish. Try the lobster risotto topped with tempura lobster if you find it on the menu! "

Delicious as expected
Pros: service, atmosphere, food
Cons: can get very loud in the tavern
"I gotta say this last reviewer must have a personal grudge against the owner or management. The Old Yarmouth Inn is one of our favorites and although I have had a few good meals for the most part they have always been great. I had a glass of exceptional Pinot noir and I asked, Dani how many ounces in a glass of wine and I was told 6 ounces. So not be swayed by the last grumpy person. We have been going for more than 3 years and look forward to many more meals to come"

Watch out for the ( small) $9.00 glasses of house wine......
Pros: location
Cons: Food this mediocre shouldn't have the most expensive glass of house wine on the Cape....
"Looks like the owners have posted a bunch of reviews here!! Always happens with this site. My dinner was a fish francese. The sole was sort of pan fried and not too bad. The strange lemon sauce was fairly gooey and was either a mix or canned. Served on top of mushy spaghetti. All in all a nice old inn to take grandma to on her birthday but not for the food......

Nice atmosphere but got a bum steak
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: steaks
"Great place and nice folks but I ordered an expensive steak and it had a muscle right down the middle. Had to eat on each side of the meat. Probably should have sent it back. "

Pros: our waitress Kate
Cons: maybe just a little to chilly in the dining room
"Everytime we go here the food is always delicious! I tried a new pasta dish with crab and angel hair it was served hot and the flavors were perfect. My wife had the Baked Stuffed Lobster...nothing like it anywhere. "

Overpriced, Mediocre Mother's Day
Pros: Historic Antique Setting/ Good Desserts
Cons: Mediocre, Overpriced Brunch
"In the past, we've enjoyed their brunches. But yesterday we went for Mother's Day brunch and were sorely disappointed. First of all, the price was steep-$34.95 pp. Which I'd gladly pay if the food was as delicious and varied as they claimed it would be when we called for reservations. The food was mediocre, and just standard brunch fare. The best dishes were the macaroni & cheese and hot veggies. Desserts were good, but none "to die for." It was very crowded. And each time we got up from our table, we had to avoid smashing into the wait staff, who were running around crazily. Often there were lines at the main food station, but the omelet/bacon/sausage station, which was set up in the lounge, went virtually untouched. I bet some diners didn't even know it was there. Next year we'll probably go to the Dan'l Webster."
