"I eat at Scargo quite often and find the food and service to be consistently good, although have had several disappointing meals & wait-staff encounters, which happens to everyone if you eat out enough. But I'll go back, I do enjoy the cozy atmosphere especially in the winter by the fire!"

"We tried Scargo for the first time the other night at the urging of some great friends, I wish we had know about this place earlier! Everything was perfect, and surprised how busy they were for a Monday night in November!We waited 10 mins for a table,and it was worth it.Our waitress was very professional and friendly. I had the Agean scallop special, she had the rack of lamb. From the apps to salads,entrees, wine and dessert, we left fat and happy! They even have a VIP club which we signed up for. Definately will be back."

"I really like this place any time of the year.
I go crazy over the big whine glasses and what looks like 1/3 of a glass of whine.
Have eaten there year round and the food is good and staff might be one of the best on the Cape."

Consistently Good

"I have loved Scargo for decades - even though I moved off-Cape, it's still one of my favorite places when I'm "home". Consistent food, good service and a comfortable atmosphere. BUT, the staff is too visible. I don't want to be eating dinner and see a server sitting at the bar after their shift. There are plenty of places to go to after work - customers DON'T want to see staff hanging around."

Give it a try...but expect a wait even on a tuesday

"Went here for dinner last night. Everything was good except the slow service. We had a 30 min wait which was fine but we realized it was the kitchen's fault once we got in. Give it a try if you dont have any place else to go afterwards."

"I can't say enough about how reliable this place is. My wife and I have been dining on the Cape for years and every time we find a new place we like we eventually become disenchanted... not so at Scargo Cafe. The servers are always friendly, caring and capable. The food quality and preparation are surprisingly creative and tasty and the portion sizes are generous (often enough for two). This restaurant is always changing with the times yet maintains it's same sense of warmth and basic Cape Cod Charm. Most recently they seem to have expanded their wine list and I love some of the Big Craft Beers they offer. <br><br> I tend to venture out and try alot of new restaurants but whenever I am not in the mood to "take a chance" I always choose Scargo Cafe. "

Good place on the Northside

"We have had lunch and dinner here. One time I had an awesome entree, only to find it removed from the menu when I came back to enjoy it again. They have a seafood strudel that my husband raves about. They keep the airconditioning FAR TOO COLD, probably for the comfort of the waitstaff and kitchen crew, nevermind the comfort of the patrons. Bordering on high prices for value received."

"Our neighborhood cafe is always dependable, but we stay away on crowded summer nights. Service is terrific, and we always get sweet potato fries. Not pretentious and kid friendly. The best thing is today I won a $1000.00 gift certificate!! "

"My husband and I had a late lunch at Scargo's and found it to be delicious. Our waiter was just great and I have recommended it to my daughter who lives on the Cape!"

"boyfriend brought me here for our 2 year anniversary. we ordered drinks (i got the blueberry pie martini, he got a dirty martini on the rocks-both delicious), calamari app and part of the way through i was presented with a ring. the waitress gushed over the ring and insisted on moving us to a private table with some serious mood lighting. we continued our dinner and drinks(he had a steak and another martini, i had the rack of lamb and a glass of wine)in there, were attended to very well, but left alone to enjoy the atmosphere, each other and the food and drinks. amazing, i have never been treated so well at any restaurant."
